LabStats has the ability to grant access to information on a group-by-group basis. Groups are computers that are associated with each other (generally labs). If a user is the manager of only one or a few labs, access can be limited to those groups (labs). This is also useful if a user just needs read-only access to LabStats’ data for all or a few labs.
Define User Permissions in LabStats
- Log in as a Global Administrator.
- Navigate to Admin, then click Users.
- Invite a new user by clicking Invite User, or edit an existing user’s permissions by clicking the user’s name.
- Select/Change Group Access
Although group-based access is controlled from within the LabStats Portal, you can also control access with your on-premises Active Directory. Learn more about linking Active Directory to LabStats: Can I log in to LabStats with my university credentials?
